The lautari often thought of her mate's job at the stables, his knowledge of the horses and all of their individual personalities. They were a part of his life and therefore a part of hers so she tried to think of them often. Now that the weather was warming she would start visiting the stables whenever she could just to be around her mate while he worked. Soleil would undoubtedly enjoy such trips to the stables as there were plenty of places to explore. Yes, he would have lots of fun and that was important.
Heath's answer puzzled Ruri for a moment. He wanted her to foal? What did that mean. Head cocked to the side and brow furrowed, the Border collie hybrid thought for a moment, running through the list of horse terms she had learned from her conversations with Heath. It didn't take her long to realize that Heath meant he wanted to breed Lumiere so she would have a baby, a foal, in the summer and he wanted Drogon, Haven's stallion to be the father. "Oh, that's good. I'm sure she'll be a great mother. I hope it all goes well," she replied before tearing off another chunk of meat from her hare. "Has Rue, Jac's little horse, been doing well? I know Jac probably hasn't come by to visit her at all. He's so funny when it comes to cold weather. You know, he walled himself up in a cabin all winter. He wouldn't even consider trying to find a coat or something to wear to keep warm," she laughed, amused at her best friend's way of thinking. In truth she hadn't seen Jac since the weather had started to change. Hopefully his long hibernation gave him lots of time to think about things. She certainly missed having him around. It worried her that she had not run into him in several weeks.
A yawn escaped her vocals as she finished her last bit of hare meat. She blind woman had cleaned the cooked carcas of every scrap of flesh and was now feeling very full and somewhat sluggish. She could think of nothing better than cuddling up in bed with her mate and falling asleep.
