When kaena said there was pain, Cassius immediately didn't expect fun things from mateship, love, and whatever else was part of the whole ordeal. He would rather not be hurt, or even hurt someone else, for love. It didn't sound right to him, but then again, he was quite naive for his age when it came to this certain subject. When the silver woman added the joys, it only sounded like more of a hassle... at first. Cass never thought about the kids. He never knew how he was as a kid for his parents. He never exactly knew what they thought. All they did was support him with whatever he did. Maybe that supporting was how they felt. Proud. If he ever had kids, all he would want to feel is the proudness of being their father. That though whirled around in his head for a bit.
"I..." he started. "I guess I never thought about that." he stared at the ground for a second and then looking up, but never looking the woman directly in the eye.
