He suspected that the connection was had been laid between the collie fey and that pale dappled stallion was much like the one that he own with Lumière. It was deep, secure and something that he trusted greatly. He knew the roan mare, and he saw that same understanding between Stark and Ruri. Though his love for the woman was greater then anything Heath could ever explain and truly understnd he did know that there was part of him that loved her even more because she had so easy fallen for the large horse. She loved every part of his life, even the hoofed aspect. It was easy to do so, and it happened more often then Heath realized, but as he watched her with Stark, Heath fell in love with her all over again.

Once his merle lover was up on the horse Heath took a moment to check the bridle and reins that Stark wore, and then mounted his broad back. Heath moved close, his chest touching her back securely. She leaned into him, and the male instinctually wrapped his black gloved arm around her. Holding her tightly he brought his nose down to touch her crown of silver fur. Once she was ready Heath smiled wide, Your heard her Stark. Heath spoke loudly before gently nudging the stallion into a walk.

Easing him into a fair trot the Marshal kept one eye on the trail ahead and another on the woman in front of him. They wouldn’t need to go far, and the ride was not long but the company, the stead, and the landscape made it exceedingly enjoyable. The trio left the lands of bell laced trees, their ringing fading into the distance and the taste of salt was heavy in the air as they neared the shore. The calls of gulls rang in the absence of the chiming bells, and the waves flowed with a low and easy tide to replace the creek of old ancient trees. Heath looked out onto the vast horizon, the ground having become sandy and the path lacked the variable the forest trails did.

He looked for the inlet, the rocks of the shattered coast hiding many different secrets. Then, there was a large towering rock that came into view as Stark took them slowly down the beach. Heath asked him to round the corner the rock created, and then found the small pool that it and the neighboring strong of rocks that lay on the beach’s sands. I think we’re here. He spoke softly in her ear.
