It had been so long since he had swam, seasons and seasons. He was a land beast, just as Stark was. Though he knew that horses could indeed swim, he knew for a fact that Stark did not. And so the male allied himself with the large stallion and considered himself a creature of sand and soil. But she was so intriguing, and Ruri made the water inviting as she lead him towards it. Her watched her face, taking in the salty air that was heavily laced with her scent into his nose and lungs. He was silent, the sound of the ocean and her sweet voice filling his ears and all his wished to listen to.

He didn’t care as she brought him into the heavy water, the cool feeling touching his legs and saturating the jeans that he forgot that he wore. The ocean lapped at his waist, their hands together and under the blue-green surface. The cool water pushed him to seek the warmth of her body, telling him to hold her for he was sure she felt the chill as well. But just as he moved closer she moved away, disappearing into the water and leaving him dazed and finally aware of how deep he was.

Heath felt the weight of his jeans, sloughed them off to let them be washed on the shore. He waded into the water, not feeling fear or hesitation but waiting to see where she came up for air. He closed his eyes, and dunk down into the water. He moved into the middle of the inlet, his shaggy and normally erect mane slicked back along his head. Then he heard the water’s crack and turned to see her at the far end of the pool. Smiling, Heath called to her, Ah, there you are. He clumsily swam along the surface of the water, splashing and causing the water to jump all around him.
