As Jazper thought the concept of winter was lost in Silvano's head. Nibbling on his lip the Captain attempted to find the words to better describe the season to the pup. He didn't understand what true coldness was, or frost, or snow let alone a snowman. Finally giving up Jazper sighed, “Why don't we just find a nice picture book that will show you winter.” The suggestion was just that, a suggestion. He was more than positive this idea would go in one ear and out the other as a lot of words seemed to when it came to little ones. If you told them a thousand times to be polite, to stay inside the mansion, to always be with an adult, it just would be a thousand times to little.

Watching the Sadira boy's face Jazper could not help but let his own smile beam as he looked at the large room. Silently he wondered if he should show the boy the grand piano, that he had moved himself, in the center of all the book shelves. The sound in this room was just much better than his room. The Knight simply didn't have the room for the sound to echo since Ghita started living with him. He had just enough space for a smaller version of this grand piano, what the humans called a baby grand, and his favorite dark brown violin. Naturally he kept a second one, a redish tinted one, by the piano in the library for the convenience and a few in his secret room where he had stashed a fine collection of instruments and weapons along with a few boxes of treasures from human houses.

The running and jumping was hard to ignore and quickly brought Jazper out of his train of thought and back to the task at hand. Silvano seemed to grasp the two rules of reading: a comfortable place to sit and a good book. As he rushed at the books the warrior was momentarily afraid he would run straight into the book case and knock it over from his energy. Chuckling at the pup the coal colored giant followed after him happily. “What sort of adventure?” He asked as he started looking for the childrens books. Humans had been smart and made books just for little ones. Knowing the shelves well enough he motioned for Silvano to follow him to the next shelf where the books were much much thinner and full of bright colors. Scanning the books he looked down at the pup, “How about The Ugly Duckling or The Turtle and the Hare?”

It had been a while since he had read a book to a pup. Sophia had an interest in books but she was usually to focused on escaping the mansion when she was younger to appreciate Jazper's unique talents and Aro simply was more of a hunting mice type of boy. Learning how to read and write had been one of the highlights of his childhood. The evenings spent with Deuce on the old armchair had been relaxing and refreshing after a long day of running around. Aro and Sophia just didn't share his curiosity for the humans.
