Liliana did noticed the smell but she had an uncanny way of ignoring the smell. Her mother had been to many taverns in the west, that had some pretty nasty smells, but it was one of the few ways her mother was employed, she had to let herself be known. Liliana ignored the smell and looked around, she knew she wasn’t going to dig too deep in this mess, she was a bit squeamish about some things here and there. For now she would look. She saw old discarded food wrappings, why did they need such things, weren’t they powerful enough to just hunt when they wanted to, she couldn’t read so the markings on some of the things didn’t make any sense to her, so she walked behind Nayru. There was so much to see though, and it wouldn’t take one sitting to find everything in this huge mess pile. There were things long decomposed, then there were things that looked as though they would never do so, she saw some clothes too that seemed to actually keep over time, but they were so soiled that Liliana doubted they could be saved. She saw many other old human things but nothing she could use, not now at least.

I can’t believe the humans threw this much out, it seems as though they just didn’t care about what they actually had!

She said, and found an old plastic doll in the rubble, it was broken, but she could see that it once had been whole and loved. This is what a human looked like? She’d seen paintings, yes, although she could harly believe those. Putting the doll back in its resting spot she looked around. She spotted something that caught her eyes, and moved to it. It had little shine to it as it was covered in much, but she pulled out a butter knife. She tilted her head, wondering what it was used for, it looked like a knife, but … it didn’t look like it could cut anything.

These humans were strange.

Was all she could say as she wiped the gunk off the knife, it had a nice design but the weather had done much to the item. It hadn’t rusted but there were scratches and stains on it that she doubted could be washed off.
