"Yes." Nayru nodded at the comment, it was an overstatement really. The humans had been strange and Nayru at times felt obsessed with their strangeness. She could and would go for hours sorting through their rubbish, just to learn a little about what their life was like. Luckily for her Dahlia de Mai had all a plethora of human artifacts, more than any of the other packs had claim to. She didn’t want Liliana to think that the wasteland was such a large part of Dahlia de Mai, and so as soon as the girl had finished gazing upon the dump Nayru would lead her the long way out of Dahlia, through Wolfville and Berwick and past building after building. Churchs, schools, homes and whatever else the humans had needed were there. Although Liliana had not seen any of the natural wonders of Dahlia, such as Nereid or Splunker’s Heaven, Nayru did not think of this. Liliana had been so intrigued by the vineyards that it seemed man made places were of more an interest than the raw, natural landscapes that had managed to slip by untouched by human hands.

"Humans were very strange, but then again, maybe we are too." Wasn’t it strange to be so caught up in a fallen civilization that they sort their there trash? Didn’t many luperci imitate and do exactly as humans had done years before? Well, maybe that was how it was, the dominate species of the world would always be strange, intelligent allowing them to move further and further from nature if they so wished. "If we could.. if we had the means to make and use all this stuff sometimes I think we would, just because we can." Her voice was a little sad, staring at all the garbage. The only thing that had saved the humans from themselves was the extinction of their race. Perhaps one day it would be that way for the luperci as well.
