Nayru smiled as she noted Liliana’s expression. So the woman appreciated Nereid as well, this put Nayru at ease and made her decision. They would swim at the hidden beach, until the tide started to turn and they had to climb back up the cliffs or be drowned at least. Picking the way, Nayru begun to descent to the sea, taking the safest trail that led down the high point of the cliffs to the sandy beach below. Glancing over her shoulder, Nayru wagged a tail to Lili, glad that the woman had decided to swim with her. Once reaching the bottom Nayru exhaled deeply, as if a great weight was lifted off her. They had toured nearly the whole west coast of Dahlia de Mai and the day was growing later and later. Still, this did not faze Nayru, for she was home, but knew that Liliana would need to return to her own pack soon. Letting the water wash over them and rinse out the stench, the girl turned to the woman, a smile that spoke a thousand words. Perhaps it had been a long day, but it had been a day well spent and Nayru was sure that she’d see the woman again. |
