The sea was blurred by the rain that whirled in front of the grey females make-shift shelter, turning her into a dark smudge of the horizon. Ever bit into her prey and fed eagerly, wiping away the feathers from her muzzle. Her body felt warm beneath her soaked fur until a small shape rammed into her side. The female jumped up quickly and yelped in surprise her hackles raised. She didn't suspect anyone to be out in the weather. Her sudden movement had put her back out in the storm and a growl arouse from her throat and she scurried, head down into the shelter. She looked up to see a small wolf huddled and wet on the beach. Colorless eyes stared at her wearily. Ever kept a comfortable distance, shaking from the cold and her nerves.
The grey female was normally quite shy. But now, this wolf had intruded on part of her territory and interrupted her time enjoying a meal. Teeth glistening, Ever let out a reserved growl before backing off a bit. She looked around desperately to make sure the wolf was alone. She huffed, flustered and shook her pelt lightly to flatter her fragile frame. Suddenly, thunder clapped and the air was filled with the noise of rain and glowing brilliantly with a fork of thunder that shimmered in the young wolf's eyes.
