He seemed insanely pleased by her discomfort. She strained to keep the resentment from her face. For now, she would have to keep her pride tamped down tightly. Caprica would have to play his game for now, while walking a thin line. She did not want to play straight into his hands. And so her priority now was to find out exactly what he wanted from her. Caprica had to hope it was something concrete, and that he wasn't just playing with her for some sort of vulgar satisfaction. There had to be a catch, there had to be a price. He was twisted, certainly, but there had to be a method behind the madness.

He released her maw roughly. The rope chafed her nose and she yipped a bit at the unexpected pain. The sound was muffled by her still closed mouth. And finally, when her mouth was free, she let her jaw hang open for a moment, moving it slowly as she regained mastery over it. It hurt to move it, but the pain was worth her freedom. And still, she decided to remain silent and to watch him carefully. She briefly considered lashing out at him, but realized that she would lose her small measure of freedom, and so she decided on silence and stillness.

And finally, the much anticipated question came. It seemed like an odd question. What would it matter if she could shift or if she couldn't? No matter her form, he had her bound, and therefore she could do nothing. "No, I can't yet," she answered shortly and then she inched her way toward the pro-offered meat on the floor. It was humiliating to have to wiggle that way, but she finally seized the meaty morsel in between her teeth and gnashed them viciously, some blood dribbling down her mandible in the process.
