Caprica was wary of his touch. She held her breath as he came forward, her shoulders automatically rounding themselves. But he did not strike her. No, instead he had loosened one of the ties binding her. She was almost tempted to open her eyes, but thought better of it. She did not want to look at him, not at all. Right now she searched within herself for a form that was elusive to her, but not for him. Perhaps if she was able to shift, she would gain the chance to get away.

The Valley wolfess abhorred everything about this situation. Her legs ached to run, although she was fatigued from fright and her previous struggles. As she searched the backs of her eyelids for answers, she vowed that she would leave here and leave his possession. And if she were able to hurt or disable him, all the better. She needed to warn Jefferson, her Patriarch and alpha.

Her thoughts turned to her siblings and her heart ached. She had been planning on going exploring with her sister, Rio, prior to this predicament. Now she wondered when she would see any of them again. Harlowe and Lucia...Where could they be? She prayed that they stayed far from here. She would have died if anything happened to them.

Her siblings had already attained these forms, but Caprica had always been slower and more ponderous, in her own way. "Haters gon' hate," she muttered to herself, thinking of how his patience with her must be thinning. But Rome wasn't built in a day, and she didn't have a blueprint anyway.
