Where do you go when there is no place left?

Yuki was well aware that her body had no intention of letting her go back to sleep. Her heart couldn't pace itself, leaving her terribly uncomfortable. She stood up and walked over to the entrance to the cage uneasily. She felt like a young child, begging for just five more minutes to watch her favorite show. As she stood beside BIOS for a moment, she hear familiar chirping coming from behind her, and what do you know, her feathered friend chip came hopping after her. She wondered about who she could ask about his wing, out of the bird book she had read once many years ago, it didn't say anything about how to care for them if they injured their wings. Obviously, she would need to find help else where.

As the bird reached her side he stood between her front legs, probably to stop the stay raindrops from hitting him. She leaned down and nuzzled his head affectionately. Poor guy, how much pain he must be in, she thought. As her attention went back to the canine she had approached she wondered why he wasn't going to sleep. "You don't sleep, huh?" she asked warily. She had told herself she wasn't going to ask any more questions, but whats the use of having people around if you don't talk to them? She decided to add on quietly "I mean..Er, you don't have to answer if you don't want.."
