Nayru’s ears perked at the sound of her name coming from Bris’ mouth. Silently she observed the younger child being given directions to keep her out of the way as the adults labored to keep the whale alive. Cherry eyes turned back upon the whale, a creature Nayru now felt obligated to and even bonded to. She’d rather help keep the creature wet! Of course, small as she was and unable to shift there wasn’t really much she could do. Giving in with only an inner and silent sigh of defeat the black and white girl turned toward her ebony companion. "Okay! Let’s go look." Nayru allowed the boy to lead her down the beach, and though her eyes were forward her ears swiveled back to catch the constant “splash, splash” that the tails and bodies of Revernt and Aislinn made.


Pausing when they came across shells, Nayru bent her nose down to them, forcing herself to focus on this task at hand rather than the excitement and worry about the whale. Every so often she dug at the wet sand with her tiny paws and nudged a shell over at Gideon to examine, but her mind kept straying back to the whale. Meeting eyes with the younger male, she knew it was best they were out of the way for now, but when they were older…
