For now she had curled up into his arms, and he guessed it must have been an eventful day for his mistress. Now though she curled up to sleep, his member still lodged within her, but even he wasn’t immune to the call of a nap as well. With as much grace as he could muster he pulled the sheets over them, arms wrapping protectively around her as she mewed her love to his hears. Smiling he kissed her forehead as eyes looked out into the afternoon sun. The two of them had spent most of the day together, and now it seemed they would spend the evening as well.

“I love you too my darling” he said softly as sleep called him too. Today was a good day, many more would come and he felt alive. For the behemoth he was mated, a female had concurred his heart, and nothing could have felt more pleasant. It was all impulsive, everything had happened quickly with the two, but for now it seemed right. Maybe there was hope for him yet, and maybe his mothers words where more true now than ever. When he had been forced to leave, after the incident, she told him that he would know his father more the he realized if he ever opened his heart. Something almost clicked in his head, like somehow he knew that he hadn’t fallen far from the tree. Maybe his father had been much like him, much more then he would ever realize. But knowing for certain was impossible. Since talking to his father would be the most improbable series of events that would ever happen. Even if he was still alive the chances where that he’d most likely never see him again.

So as they laid there, Layla already having drifted off to sleep, Saluce soon to follow the earth rejoiced for the two souls that had found each other. Two Apex predators that came together, and would in the future raise more guardians of nature to carry on the way of the circle of life.
