Hello, and welcome to 'Souls!

She scarcely had time to patrol the borders now, something she found to be an unfortunate shame. With winter refusing to ebb, the impossible tide that never faded, there were always matters of food to attend to and simply keeping everyone happy. Luckily she no longer had to look out for the puppies as she once did, for they were older and hopefully beginning to learn responsibility. But with a new age came new trials, and the whole pack seemed to be growing tired of the ceaseless winter. Today, however, seemed to be an entirely different story. Instead of spending some time reading as she usually did, she found that she needed to get out of the pack den and stretch her legs. Wolves were clearly not meant to sit on cave floors pouring over old human books.

With the very thought of a peaceful border patrol, Tayui had set out from the pack den, beginning her run near the western part of the pack lands. After twenty minutes of trotting through the snow, she felt the winds shift as she neared the southernmost point of the packlands. The winds brought her the scent of an unfamiliar creature some ways to the east. Intrigued, she increased her pace in search of the mysterious visitor. Her large paws characteristic to those of her specie allowed for her to easily maneuver through the snow, preventing her from falling through it.

The scent grew stronger and she slowed as she approached, spotting a wolf similar in hue to herself. As she neared, she saw that his golden eyes seemed to match the jewelry that adorned his ears. She approached with her tail held high and her eyes demanding of answers to questions yet to be posed. Raising her hackles slightly, she demanded, "What business have you here, stranger?" She regarded the wolf with a small frown, waiting for his reply.
