She nodded after the male spoke, glad she only had to wait a few seconds before he answered the question. She was thankful the male did not waste any time with exaggerated theatrics or a lengthy speech. Many wolves she had found pacing the borders seemed too quick to delve into a lengthy reply and too apt to explain their life story. Although Tayui did not consider herself to be rude or impatient, she could never be certain with lone wolves. If anything, those with no allegiance could pose the most threats to a pack, for they had no Alpha to reprimand them. Indeed, she exerted her cautiousness with rightful boldness.


She watched the male for a few seconds before deciding to question him again. Finding the answer to her first prompt satisfactory, she followed it up with another: "Many lone wolves have waited at these borders, and many have been turned away. What skills do you possess that set you apart from the average plebeian?" Wolves were social animals and those without definite ties to a pack would always seek one out. Out of necessity for food and stimulation, many sought the refuge of packs.
