do you want to do a couple more short easy posts and then fade to black, since this thread is so crusty?

Oak was not yet able to grasp the true nature of growing up. All he saw were the perks of becoming an adult, the escape from a small body into one that was much more capable, the ability understand what he couldn't yet. He was blissfully unaware of the responsibility he would attain once he had left the dreamy, carefree world of childhood. He had heard that the world was not always a good place, but the truth had yet to penetrate since nothing drastic had ever happened to him. To Oak, growing into an adult would bring no change to his state of mind. Everything would be just as exciting and fun as when he had just been a boy.

Oak's expression became puzzled with his brother's request. He was confused about why anyone would want to remain a little useless baby for any longer than necessary. What you mean? he asked with dark red brow lifted. What kinda stuff I not getta do when I'm big? Oak scrunched his brow, trying to figure out the answer himself. He had noticed that big wolves did not play with each other like little ones did, and whenever adults did play it was with their pups. That was a small difference, though it did seem odd and he wondered what caused the change. There had to be more to it than play. Oak expectantly watched Haven for a response that would help him understand a little better.
