Liliana felt different somehow, yet she was the same person. The whole ceremony seemed to go at a blur, was it really too fast? She wasn’t sure, but it was beyond magical hearing the ceremony speech from Dawali, then everything else, especially hearing her new name, “Liliana Utina” It had a special ring to it. It seemed to fit, though her last name was the only thing she had physically left of her parents, she did not regret agreeing to take his name. After all Liliana’s mother took her father’s last name, it was only proper to do the same with Nayati.

Now it was after the ceremony, and everyone had gone home. Liliana’s new home was now with Nayati, and she was all grins the whole time they went down the streets of the village before entering his hut, which she did find more cozier than her own, for whatever reason, she didn’t know. Maybe the few extra things he did have, just made it much more homier. She looked over at her mate… her MATE! Just thinking it gave her chills. She was feeling slightly nervous, knowing that they would have to consummate their joining, it was something that she had not entirely learned about, her mother taught her, and she had her own instincts about it, but in the end she just was nervous as a rodent in the eyesight of a snake. In no way was Nayati a snake though, she smiled speechless, not sure what her own next steps should be.

So… now what?

She couldn’t help but ask him. He always had the answers, ever since she joined the pack and always had something wrong, Nayati had been there to tell her what to do, there was always a next step, and though she knew how to guide her own way, guiding someone else’s as well, one that was not that of a horse or animal, it seemed so much more difficult.
