She listened to his words, but didn’t turn around. She huffed and dropped her hand away from the sword. He was right; she didn’t really know how to use it. She probably could defend herself against a non-sword user, but not Itzal who was trained so well with his little throwing knives. She would be dead before she could make her second swing.

Axelle stopped walking, but didn’t face him. She just stood there with her head down staring at the ground. She was waiting for him to catch up so they can walk together. She didn’t look at him, so she didn’t notice his sadistic smile, or the evil way he was thinking. She didn’t care either. Once she learned how to use her weapons, she would take him on.

But then, an idea crossed her mind…

She mentioned this when he was close enough for them to have a normal-toned conversation. She now lifted her head and looked at him sideways hoping for an affirmative answer. Of course, she would practice on her own first before setting foot in his presence again. Just so he didn’t think she was a complete ‘durf’.
