Into the unknown

OOC: O.o the first time that Sankara ventures away from her packlands. All of you are welcome to take part ^^!! BTW, If you wonder who are Yaretzi and Miztli...you'll see X3

The sun was shining high in the sky. Some birds were singin up on the trees. The eviroment was full of peace and happyness. Or at least that was what Sankara felt. She had left the packlands to wander for a while. She wanted to expand her horizons a bit, just for curiosity. The grass tickled her pawpads, and the wind swinged her moon pendant, bringing to her a sensation of familiarity. And that was useful for her considering that she was adventuring into unknown lands.

But the peace of the moment was broken by the sound of her stomach grumbling. Oh oh, i'm hungry. Just now she realized that she hadn't eaten anything since she woke up that morning and decided to explore a bit. Instinctively, she lowered her nose and sniffed the earth. Nothing. She tried harder and walked further. And after a minute of sniffing the ground, walking some meters, and smelling again, she catched the scent of deer. She followed it until she found herself facing a herd of Whitetail deer. Sankara bent down and observed.

The deer hadn't catched her scent, and they were grazing peacefuly, unaware of the danger. But there was a weak member. A lame cow. It looked like an easy target, so Sankara began to crawl closer to the herd. Just a bit closer...a bit closer...A bull rose it's head...just a bit closer...The bull sniffed the air and puffed...Just two more meters...The bull sprinted and the rest of the herd followed. THat's it!

Sankara sprinted and began to chase the herd. Her eyes only focused on her prey, the lame cow. The deer began to divide, so Sankara was able to focus on her deer, her prey. Damn! for being lame it is quite fast That was the last thought before she stopped thinking. She began to act by pure instinct; so in the moment in which she brought the cow down, she didn't hesitate before the pleading eyes that asked her to let live and bit the deer's neck. She didn't let go until the cow stopped breathing and the heartbeat turned off. Then she releasedthe neck and looked at her prey. This was the second time that she hunted a Whitetail deer. The first time happened long ago, when she was still taking care of those injured commarades; even thought that time it was only a calf. So ths prey could be considered a trophy. Yaretzi, Miztli...

Sankara was unsure about what moved her to hunt such a big animal. Perhaps it was the feeling of being away from a safety place that took out her fereal part. Her mind didn't wander for longer, because her stomach made a growling noise, what reminded her that she had an empty stomach to fill. So she leande down and bit off a piece of meat, unaware of another presence that was watching her...
