and carry all these broken bones

Liev hammered the wooden stake home and Teddy held it steady to make sure it went in straight instead of leaning to the side. Perhaps a little luckily the snow had been melted only a little while and while the top layer was softer, the underlayer of dirt and mud was still hard enough to hammer in to and hold the wooden stake firm. Once Liev removed the hammer he'd used, Teddy tested the stake before giving it a firm nod. Liev spoke then and Teddy couldnt help but give him a small smile. Smiles were very new to the black warrior and they felt a little awkward and wooden on his lips. But at least he tried and made the effort. He nodded towards Liev before speaking once more.

"Its much better than a few weeks ago, the damn snowstorm... I've heard it did much more damage to the other packs in Nova Scotia... we were protected by the mountains."

The Russian stood then, clapping dust and dirt from his hands. Teddy stretched, easing out taught muscles that hadnt been exercised in a while. He wanted to talk to Liev about breaking one of the horses for riding- the lead stallion he'd caught along with the other mares and foals. It would be nice to have a stead, he could get places a little faster than before. Still, there was a lot of work to be done it seemed as Liev showed him the blueprints he'd made. Teddy was impressed by his drawings and for a moment wondered why on earth he hadnt become a cave explorer. They still didnt have a full map of the caves and underground tunnels that they had access to in Anathema and Liev was a good map maker. Still, if he was called to shepherding, then so be it.

"Woah, looks like you got a lot of plans for this! Its going to take a long time though- to find all the wood and get it all together. Maybe six months I would guess. But its going to be worth it! I'll be more than happy to help you get it all together."

He knew it would be a big project but it would benefit Anathema in the end. They would have a perminant place for any and all livestock Anathema had, as well as places to train them and breed them. It was such a good project to get themselves in to that Teddy actually felt positive about it. Liev spoke again and Teddy gave a nod, scooping up three or four planks that would make a few more posts for the fence Liev had apparently planned on taking around the whole huge clearing. Still, it was progress for the pack and that was good.
