Recalling the salty scent of ocean air upon first approaching the borders of Dahlia, Alae and Kael wandered back to that very starting point, and a little bit further than they ventured the last time. Finding another roadway eroded and beginning to be covered with the overgrowth of the terrain, the Luperci and the owl hopped on the path to where it would lead. Last time, an old asphalt road like this led to an ancient metropolis by the name of Halifax. Knowing where there were roads, there were sure to be ancient human establishments either still standing or in ruins. Where there was ruins, there were valuable items to be found, no matter how much of it seemed to be scrap junk. This place seemed to be resourceful with it.

This road, however, remained to be stretching along the coastline for quite some time; not leading to anywhere in particular. Finding that they could walk (and fly, for the owl's sake) for miles more without running into anything meaningful, Alae and Kael came off the asphalt and descended down to the sandy smear of vacant beaches below. While the weather was progressively warmer due to Spring, but still too cold to even think about wading into shallow waters, the Dahlian Subordinate danced and strayed along the dampened sand of the surf. Kael soared further out from shore, becoming a rival of the pelicans, seagulls, and any other bird that claimed the skies over the Bay of Fundy as their own.

Coming upon a washed up eel, Alae was surprised to see this area inhabited eel of all oceanic species. Eel was considered a delicacy and difficult to catch near Ireland, and was considered an imported item. Picking up the remains, Alae decided to carry the slimy eel with her, seeing as how it could suffice as a meal for herself and Kael later on in the evening. Scourging the shoreline and several rocky areas near the surf, there was also an assortment of mussels upon the rocks to investigate. Even while she only had her leather-bound pack, Alae took to scavenging some mussels that would be useful for a meal later on. Seafood had always been a delicacy, and Alae would take advantage of taking what could be sought to enjoy on this clear skied afternoon.
