There was a subtle shift, one Salvia barely caught. Sirius was on his feet, a tall thing that towered over the pup. Her ears fell back, worried she had pushed him too far. Tlanti had been cross when she had done this before, and while she believed her uncle might give her leeway, it did not seem so. The dry and unfamiliar taste of worry came to her tongue, but the lanky hybrid only hit her nose (and gently at that). Pleased that he was not going to shout, the puppy craned her nose up to try and reach his chin. It was the only submissive posture she knew, aside from being on her back, but that went against her instinctive need to protect her belly.

“Yes Uncle Sirius,” she said sweetly, her voice lined with lace and sugar. She was remarkable at putting on this front, which did not suit her cat-like eyes, and wiggled her tail to prove she was being sincere. This was not a lie, of course; she loved her uncle dearly and would do as she was told. He was right after all; she was not her mother, only a child. “Would you please teach me like you teach my mother?” A sickly-sweet smile. Despite her honest affection for him, even she could not hide the predatory drive in her gleaming eyes.
