He had almost forgotten how to pray. He had stopped doing it a long time ago, when he was just a pup. Most children went to church and prayed only because they had to. Ash actually liked it. He had absolutely believed in God as a kid, and really wanted to be good. He wanted to be like the angels in heaven, and help others. But naturally, he got teased mercilessly for it. He had to lie and say he only went to church because his mom made him too. From then on he had been too embarrassed to pray, even on his own time. But now he was an adult and nobody was here to judge him. Besides, he was afraid, and he had no one else to turn to.

Ash yelped and jumped at the sound of a man's voice behind him. He nearly fell on his face, but he was able to catch himself by pushing his hands out in front of him. Everything would have been fine if "Liya" had not tackled the poor, unsuspecting soul. His fur stood on end when what felt like a spider monkey launched onto his back. He felt it's probing tentacle poke his cheek, possibly looking for a place to stab him and inject poison. The white wolf shivered and looked slowly to his side. Did he really want to see his murderer? Maybe his last moments would be more peaceful if he didn't have to face him.

Instead of a vicious killer (or spider monkey), he was faced with a pair of big, round, baby blues. Ashbrooke still looked like someone had flashed him, but he started to relax. It was just some kid. He sighed nervously and gave a weak smile. "Hey." Feeling more confident, he turned slowly to look behind him. There had been someone else, right? The other wolf was much larger, and in Optime form. It would normally have made Ash feel more comfortable, but he looked so big and imposing. He was like a fox on steroids. He felt his cheeks burn in embarrassment, suddenly feeling like he had done something wrong. "Um, is this yours?" he asked, waving the arm that was now trapped by a small, grey boy.
