Red couldn’t get it through to this female that he had wandered into her territory because he had scented the puppy. There was no doubt a language gap going on here. He was standing in the umbrage of the lone tree, trying to look as non-threatening as possible, and this female was still ready to knock him over the head with a branch. Red threw up his hands in despair and stormed out of the territory, muttering something under his breath in Spanish. He wasn’t really angry, just frustrated. There Sol had been, trying to do a good deed and give a pup back to his mother and she had felt it necessary to snarl and growl and threaten him with a branch. |
