The woman sat the hedgehog onto the table, her hands dusty from the cleaning that she had just done. The room was finally tidy, things in some sort of order and in their respective places. She looked at the spiked-pig and gave him an accomplished nod, Nothing like a neat room. She spoke to Ambrose and a smug smile. Living with her mate, the hedgehog and a mourning dove made it hard to keep the room looking like it wasn't a gang of wild animals that lived behind the door. But they each tried their best, and it was Mati's turn to pick the room a pick me up. She hummed lightly as she picked out a pencil, the hedgehog sitting beside a pad of old worn paper and looking at her with dark black eyes. The wolfess had things to do, muse meddling with her mind and telling her that she needed to get to work. She begun with exercises, drawing the outline of the hedged animal once and then twice just to get the kinks out of her hand and brain. But as she settled down to draw him a third time there was a knock on the door.

She paused, looking at the closed door and wondering who it was that needed her, or her mate who was off picking herbs or healing wounds. Her brow lowered, a frown settling in her features but she lightened her expression before rising to answer the call. When she saw the beast beyond the thick wooden planks she stopped herself from sighing, nor from showing the large amount of surprise that she felt seeing her grandmother (of sorts) standing in her doorway. She was oblivious towards the fact that Soran had joined her pack, and wondered why she was inside the haven that Haven Manor was. Mati said nothing, astonished and startled and speechless.
