Liliana stopped next to Nayati and stayed as close as her horse would allow her. She was scared. She trusted Nayati with all her heart, but she was scared that Maska had someone coming after them as they stood there standing. She was shivering as if she were cold and she was looking around her, holding her son protectively. She was thankful for her sister in law who carried Saqui. She was quiet and though the grey shape in the distance made Liliana want to race Grace around the other way, she stayed, right next to Nayati. She listened as they spoke and thought, if he hadn’t come and got them up before leaving she would have left to go find him. She swallowed wondering what was going to happen, will this friend of Nayati let them have sanctuary or would they be running for the rest of their lives? She waited, her eyes darting from the three around her to find any answer to this question but only time will tell.
