[M] Crossing barbed wire lines

The fear he saw alight in her blue eyes was just the sight he wanted to see. She was right to fear him, for there was no good that he meant for her. He had a feeling that this Chieftain would have desired her unharmed, but Gregor did not greatly care what he wanted. He would return the girl to him in one piece and breathing, but he intended to have a little bit of fun with her first. Surely she could use a lesson in humility, some fractures in that spirit that had caused her to flee. He would show her who was in charge and turn into a nice compliant little creature. Just as females were meant to be.

Quickly she turned and ran from him. Gregor had expected this and almost chuckled deep in his throat—oh how he loved a good chase. The Mountain waited a few moments before breaking into a run after his quarry. It would give her a little hope that she would escape, only to make the lesson when she was caught that much more potent and terrifying. His steps were thunderous as he loped after the Utina. It was true that in an outright run her smaller, lither form would likely outdistance him, but the trees were hindering them both, and his reach was longer. Once he got close enough, Gregor reached out and grabbed at her long braids that trailed behind her head.
