The little patchwork girl had been playing around the lands since the early morning, she had yet to go and fetch Scarlett from the stables, enjoying her new made up game so much that the time had quite slipped her mind. Today she was fighting her new favourite imaginary foe, vampires, she had been chasing them upn and down the lands all morning, bouncing this way and that as she had done, pretending to fire a bow at them, oh how excited she was that she was finally going to be allowed a boy, everything was falling into place for her upcoming heroic adventures; she had Scarlett, the pale mare who she was hoping to learn to ride very soon, and her father had promised that she would be allowed a bow, finally she was going to be like her favourite hero, Robin Hood! The only problem was getting a bow, she had even confessed this problem to her sable great grandmother who had come to the borders, she had been looking for the patchwork girl's daddy, but they had begun a conversation and had both quite forgotten to call for him, it was not until after the dark matriarch had left that the little female had realised that she had not known what it was that she wanted with her father, she decided not to ask him though, he had seemed tense around the sable female so she did not want to upset him. In fact she was unsure why he had been tense around her as well, she didn't seem like a baddie, the little female had heard her spoke of her family so passionately so she couldn't imagine her ever having done anything bad, she had seemed so pleasant when they had had their brief conversation. But still she was cautious of her, her father was usually the one she turned to to know of right and wrong and if he was cautious of the sable female then perhaps something bad had happened. It was as she was playing that she heard the call of a familiar voice, it was Soran calling for her. The little female began to walk to the borders, long legs moving her swiftly, she was now free from wobbles as she walked, her Optime form being far more comfortable than it had been only a couple of months ago.

Soon the little female caught sight of her great grandmother, it seemed that the ebony lady was holding something, something that looked promising, with skipping bounding steps she crossed the final distance to the sable female. She could not see what the sable female had been holding though, the woman had moved her hand behind her back, hiding the object from view, she padded to the borders, her great grandmother had stopped just short of them.
“Hello Soran.” The little female said politely, still cautious around the green eyed lady, she wondered why she had come here, had she remembered that she wanted to talk to Robin's daddy? The sable female replied to her greeting, calling her little one with an affectionate tone, explaining that she had come here following their conversation and that she had been giving gifts to other family members and had a present for her. The little female's head turned to one side as her tail began to wag, quite distracted from the mention of other family members, the idea of a present being far more interesting, presents were always good, perhaps her father had been wrong about Soran? As the sable female moved her hand to reveal the gift the little girl squealed with delight, jumping up and down and clapping her hands together. Soran let out a sigh of relief and told her how glad she was that she liked it, explaining that she worried that it was not very good, that she had made it herself and that she was not sure if it was any good. The little female was delighted with it though, she leapt forwards and wrapped her arms around the woman in a warm hug, the sable female seemed shocked by this reaction, standing stock still for a moment before returning the hug. Robin took the bow from her hands and turned it this way and that, a grin spreading wide across her face, she was delighted, it was a wonderful gift! It even had her name carved upon it.
"Thank you Soran... great grandmother, it is wonderful," the little female thanked her, still grinning, using the sable female's title, knowing that it would mean a lot to the dark pelted lady. After this exchange Soran pulled out more gifts from her bag, giving Robin a book of how to make arrows, along with a necklace for Felicity and a book for Linden. It seemed that the sable lady was more thoughtful than perhaps the girl's ochre father had suspected, the small girl thought to herself.
"Thank you so much great grandmother, I am sure that they will love them, they are such thoughtful presents." The little female said, still beaming, practically from ear to ear, she finally had a bow! Soran said that she was very welcome and that she had to leave now, but to please make sure that the presents got to Linden and Felicity, and that she was delighted that Robin liked the bow, then came the usual lecture about safety, telling her that she must not use it as a toy, that owning such an object came with responsibility. The patchwork girl nodded her head in agreement, her curled mane bouncing as she did so. She moved and pulled Soran into another hug, thanking her again, she was genuinely delighted with the gifts, Soran returned the hug much more warmly than she had the first. The hug ended and Soran told Robin to run along and play, to go and find her siblings. The dark female then turned to walk towards her home lands once again.
"Great grandmother." Robin called, causing Soran to turn to look at her again.
"I don't know if Daddy will like it, but if you want you may visit me again sometime... perhaps you two will be able to work something out?" The little female offered hopefully, grinning as a smile spread over her grandmother's lips.
"If you want me to, then I shall little one, I would like that very much." Robin's great grandmother replied, before giving her a final wave of farewell and walking away. Robin turned and bounced back into the lands, going to show Felicity and Linden and her father the gifts she had been given, perhaps this would warm him to her?
