Her stories had always left her heart beating a little faster, feeling happier until the last page, and left her dreaming for her prince. It was heartbreaking to watch the hero, or the princess, struggle against a force of evil, but never had the ivory princess felt as she did then, frightened and wary, even when the evil was gone. It was as if the story was not yet over, or at least had not found its happy ending, as much as the dark haired girl pined for it.

The words from the knight had lessened the shakes her body struggled with, as they had always done. She was sensitive, and the events of not so long ago had stirred those evil memories like a flame. Though tears still streaked her cheeks, with each passing moment and each soothing word, Giselle found herself being calmed, comforted from the male who had saved her on more than one occasion. Her hair spilled around her shoulders and draped across his chest as she lay there, murmuring forgiveness as the sun continued to change the colors of the world outside.

Soon the library did not stir with the woman's anguish, though her breath still shook the settling dust in the air. The young woman lay there, keeping still as she let herself be surrounded by Silvano's presence and protection. "I'm very grateful you're here," she finally said, in a whispering tone. "My brave knight." The words were spoken softly, knowing if Tux were to hear those words spoken to another, he would be upset. Giselle closed her eyes, feeling the man's heart beat beneath her pale cheek.
