Hope finals went well ^^ Sorry if my brain short-circuits at all during this post x:

Once the sandy coyote finished her off, the hunters wasted no time digging in. Barry placed one large paw against her side to brace himself, then tore at the leathery skin and thick fur which concealed the prized inner organs. Historically, in situations like these, he'd take a modest half for himself — but Tedros' words made him think twice. He would only take a third. He nudged generous portions of liver, heart, and lungs Ted's way with his bloody snout, and at first, it seemed like a slight smile and a brief wag of his tail were all he had to say on the matter. He moved on to a meaty haunch after the choicest cuts were gone without a word.

But as his belly filled and his feeding became less frenzied, conversation seemed more manageable. Oughta keep an eye out for me and the boys, then, he suggested after gulping down a mouthful. We usually hunt around this forest 'ere or the one further west. They were lucky there was so much viable neutral land available. Just feedin' the three of us mostly, so there's plenty of leftovers, he finished with a shrug. For a "loner," he was suspiciously well-fed — and this was why. Axle and Grit were reliable, and on occasion his customers would beseech him for assistance when it came to catching a decent meal. Barry was always happy to oblige since (a) he liked food and (b) it meant they would expect less product in the actual exchange.

Whatever the case, having shared some vague details about his own life, he figured it was okay to ask Tedros about his in turn. So how long have you been in Inferni? he questioned casually. The coyote was apparently familiar with Zeke, but it sounded like he might've been on the road recently.
