Word Count :: 3+ This be a strange, strange post.

The curtain settled onto the floor almost - but not quite - inside the closet where she'd intended it to fall. She'd missed the curled form of what looked and smelled like Terra, but nothing could be done now. She was sure that her false words would have sounded like an obvious fiction, and the fall of the material near the other wolf would have let her know she had been spotted. But the furry form did not stir, and Caspa stared at it blankly. What was the game-mistress playing at? Was she still trying to pretend she wasn't there - it was working slightly, Caspa was starting to doubt her own senses, perhaps they'd played a trick on her too - or perhaps Terra had fallen asleep, or was feeling antisocial and wanted to be left alone, or had died. Or, not. Caspa sat down and waited for the situation to make sense, feeling that if she was still and calm for long enough, enlightenment would come. Thankfully, she was only there a minute before - to an unprompted wag of her long white tail, revealing relief that did not show on her equally long face - the fox fur got up and stretched itself out, before stealing her necklace once more. Caspa half-lidded her eyes, but she was impressed nevertheless. "You may be sneaky, but slow and steady works too," came her haughty tones, and she rather regretted her own voice at that point. She wanted to be sharp and quicksilver like this girl. But that would never be her talent, and she knew she had her own strengths. "What are you going to do now you have learned the art of supreme stealthiness? Will you be using your powers for good?" Her head tilted to one side, an idea forming there. "I must ask, now that your ability is on my conscience as a willing assistant." She realised she was sitting on Terra's curtain. Perhaps she should try and throw it at her again, when she was off her guard. It was still getting to her that she'd missed her shot before. But then, it had been a stupid idea in the first place. Not that Caspa cared about looking stupid. In fact, she rather revelled in it, considering it a good sign that she had conquered whatever ego she had been born with in the first place.
