The small woman had been staying in the mansion while her wounds healed, but unlike the rest of Enkiel's patients she was horrible at staying put, resting, and the whole power of healing. Early that morning she had slipped out of the mansion and slowly made her path to the woods where she resided. The early morning ground was cold yet the closer she came to her den the warmer the ground became. She inhaled deeply, a soft sigh filling her small chest as she came upon the location of the great oak she had long ago claimed as her den. While she knew that it was foolish and probably dangerous she shifted to her optime form, feeling the muscles stretch and bones and teeth groan and shiftnwithin her as her body adjusted accordingly. It was a daunting task but the small Lykoi was determined. She was tired and sore by the end of it all but her wounds had remained sealed and she was able to climb into the nook where her den resided.

A sigh of comfort escaped her lips at being back home, the only thing missing was the kittens getting into everything, but they probably had more to destroy in the mansion than they ever would inside the hallowed out tree. She had flopped down upon her bednest, the furs and blankets enclosing the tiny lupercis form as her mind began to churn and flood with thoughts of the past week. She had wanted to go to Helotes shortly after his brother had been accepted and confront him, comfort him, confine in him...but she hadn't. She had turned into the coward she hated, the scared little girl...and in the end she only felt helpless and alone. Always alone.

Before she could stop it the tears had started to flow and the pygmy woman could do little more than curl into a ball and let the waters wash away her sins. She had fallen into a dreamless sleep without even realizing it, sleeping away the morning and early afternoon, waking only when the weak sunlight crept through the hallow of her tree and spread across her face.

She knew she needed to head back to the mansion before the others noticed her missing but upon scrambling out of the old oak she caught the scent of someone near she hadn't expected. Her heart beat rapidly as her breath caught in her throat. She shook slightly as she took first one step and then another as her paws brought her to the edge of the springs where Helotes had just slowly sank into the steaming waters. Her lilac orbs watched him, a wide range of emotions trapped inside and yet she didn't know what to say, what to do.

When had she lost the ability to be anything but who she was around this man, or was it more the fact she was tired of hiding behind a mask of stony emotions when her heart lead her down another path. She was shaking slightly as sheclinched her hands together
