Ears twitching Terra focused on his words. It seemed the key to hunting was simply remaining alert, but Terra did that all the time. How else would she know if someone was sneaking up on her, or where to steal her food from? Terra considered that for a moment. Maybe hunting was like stealing, except instead of running away from the angry creature she'd stolen from Terra would be running down prey. She watched as her teacher crept through the grass, keeping hidden. The rabbits didn't even see him coming. Excited Terra sat up as he snatched the rabbit he'd picked and brought it over. His movements had been so fluid, the hunt ending in seconds.
It was her turn now. Eagerly Terra nodded, ready to face against the rabbits. It was her greatest weakness, and now she would conquer it with the help of this friendly wolf. Crouching low Terra crept through the grass, keeping behind the rabbits' points of view. It was easier said than done. Scattered now they faced in various directions, making it almost impossible to avoid their gazes. Already forgetting his advice Terra targeted the fattest rabbit in the group. Stealthily she sneaked up. Just as she was about to pounce the rabbit seemed to notice her.
Not wanting to waste another moment Terra sprang. The rabbit dashed away as fast as it could. Her teeth snapped uselessly at the air in front of her as it ran full tilt towards a hole. Desperately Terra tried to throw herself in front of the rabbit, blocking it's path, but the rabbit darted away, and made it to safety. Disappointed she slunk back over to the wolf that was trying to teach her. Terra had really been hoping to catch one on her first try.
