(221) Y U NO POKE ME ;-;

The whisper of voices trailed over the grass. Salvia’s pace slowed momentarily, her posture defiant yet. She wanted nothing more than to cast out her sister and end this charade; it was not fair to her to continue. Wretch had made her point clear to Pandemic, and Salvia had almost struck her down and ended this madness before it touched the others. Now, though, her mother had made it to her—now the standard life she had been living was in jeopardy. Her shoulders tensed as she remained like a statue, blending perfectly into the tall grass around her.

Then her mother’s voice rose, sounding peculiar. The sudden instinctual drive to protect this woman—her leader, her birth-giver—rose to a crescendo. Salvia rushed forward, her lupus body lean and almost coyote-like in its movement. The wolfish girth of her father’s bloodline spoke of her only as a wolf, though. A dead man burned through green eyes, a shade truer than those of her mother. Salvia showed her teeth, ears high and tail even with her spine. She positioned herself with her back to the dark coyote, facing the pale thing that had once been family.

“She doesn’t remember us,” the tiger hissed, the dark fur along her hackles bristling. Even after what she had done, Wretch had not remembered her.
