Apollo was certainly not a fool. At least, he wouldn’t admit it. He eager trotted past the open door as that sinister coyote held it ajar. Once he got inside, he felt the darkness snare his throat. What on the outside had seemed so intriguing was now terrifying on the inside. He had thought his curiosity would drown most of his fear, but he could feel it rising in his throat like sour bile. He turned, finding that crimson stare, and hoping for some comfort. He found nothing, and so he took a few steps forward. He needed to show Sirius that he was brave. He wouldn’t let a little fear of the dark stop him from going further down the hall.

"What’s in here?" He asked, surprised when his voice sounded hollow as it echoed on the empty walls. The smell inside was strange, and Apollo couldn’t quite determine what it was. It smelled old – almost bad – if that was even possible.
