At Moonstone Lakes
Stepping along the edges of the water Terra looked on impassively. Like a lot of the water near the ocean, it never quite froze. Small pieces she skipped over, while longer sections she walked around. Right in the heart of all of this, connecting all of the streams and lakes, was a giant one, crowning them all. The surface of this one was frozen, deep enough to sustain the cold. Terra's breath frosted as she stepped out onto it, enjoying the first few moments on the ice. She was glad to be in lupine form, her small weight spread out across the ice.
Cheerfully she began to walk across it, feeling her feet slip and slide beneath her. Soon she was dancing across it playfully, ducking in and out of the snow covered topping to the hard ice underneath. She glided across, a ridiculous appearance by all means. Enjoying the feel of the cool ice and the control she was learning Terra laughed out into the air. She began to direct where she slid, though putting out the brakes was hard.
