out of character text

Terra's tail twitched in amusement at his words. She wasn't going anywhere. Whether or not someone thought she had bad manners, Terra was awfully good at getting out of things and even better at not being caught in the first place. It was a lot of trial and error on Terra's part, having no one to guide her. Maybe that was why so many of her actions were mismatched, because she had no one telling her when she was wrong, only threats and warnings from those with a lower patience level.

This strange dog seemed to fit into the latter category, threatening to toss her into the hole he was making. Making such a hole seemed rather pointless to Terra, as she knew places where the ice was easier to break if someone wanted something to drink. Terra would have made the offer, if she hadn't suspected that he really was itching to get rid of her, tossing her in the hole or otherwise. Instead she sat a good distance away, tail wrapped around to watch him work. She'd definitely get a better look at this hole once it was finished. Stick her nose in it and the like. Keep an eye on him though. She didn't want to go swimming.
