Mediations of the Heart
#5
Fatin could tell that X’yrin had forgotten that they had wanted to do the initiation task today. But she wisely didn’t say anything and knew that Asad wouldn’t say a word about it either. Granted the male tended not to say much anyways. But he at least had the good sense and the social graces to not mention anyone’s weakness; unless it was during training them in self-defense. He had taught her and still instructed her and kept her ready for protecting herself, at her own insistence. He hadn’t been happy but she had prevailed. He would do anything for her, including kill for her and die for her.

But X’yrin was speaking and the other woman explained what the two of them would be doing. They would apparently be going into the mountains and mediating there until this evening. She wasn’t all that sure about doing it again, or at least in the winter, but Asad seemed intrigued by it. He rather enjoyed torturing himself it seemed. Fatin gave a mental smirk at that thought but also thought it was rather commendable that he liked to stretch himself, in more ways than one. She nodded however and said, ”Lead the way.”
