Cerberus was glad for the reluctance Ciara seemed to portray in letting him go, as he didn’t really want release her either. He didn’t plan to let go, even if it meant strolling around her packlands with his arm around her waist. Cerberus was comfortable here, holding on to the fae. He was comfortable staring into her eyes. He was comfortable memorizing her scent and the way her fur felt against his fingers. However, when Ciara had touched her nose to his, Cerberus tried to hold it, but a tiny sneeze tore them apart. After a dazed shake of his head, Ceri whined softly and nuzzled his face into the girl’s neck again, his tail wagging lazily behind him. No, he wouldn’t let her go if she didn’t want him to. He’d stay here forever.

Unfortunately, the sun WAS going down. If they didn’t make their trip soon, they’d be trekking in the dark. And although Cerberus believed he could protect Ciara just fine, he didn’t want to chance it. Wrapping his arms completely around the girl, he hugged her tightly as he looked around them once more. All was still, they were alone. Quickly Ceri nuzzled the girl’s head before leaning away again, and he smiled softly at her. ”Let’s get going then angel,” he muttered, somewhat surprised at himself for choosing such a nickname. He’d never called anyone that before, at least that he could remember. It was almost annoying to him how much he’d changed as a result of this she-wolf’s company…and then again, it really wasn’t.

Keeping his arm tight around Ciara’s waist as he moved to her side, Cerberus jerked his head to absentmindedly crack his neck, and then rubbed his tail against the back of the fae’s thigh in a late response to her earlier gesture. His eyes remained searching, however, as if playing innocent while his tail continued to dance around her legs. He kept it a safe distance away from ‘forbidden territory,’ but didn’t neglect to let it tease around it. His playful nature was returning slowly, mingled with the eagerness to see her home. It could be, after all, his potential home, and he had to scope it out before making any true decisions.
