Since Claudius is super traditional, he thinks Hadley's amount of submission is a-okay. 8D He's such a stuffy little bat lol.
Claudius was glad to see the stranger react so quickly and appreciated the show of submission. Even though it was decidedly tougher to streamline dominance in the optime form, Claudius recognized his superior position and quickly raised his tail and perked his ears forward. The dog did not seem to pose a threat, since his submission was quick and absolute.

The dog responded and identified himself as a member of an unknown pack, wherever it was. Claudius had never heard of Casa di Cavalieri and he did not know what it meant. He hoped it wasn’t ‘Death and Warmongerers’ or something of the sort.

The dog’s other words surprised Claudius. If he was here to be free, did that mean comparatively, in this strange pack of his, he was not free? Claudius detested such a thought, since he’d had his freedom ripped from him when he had been captured and interrogated. He didn’t think he would ever really get over that.

Claudius jerked his head up and motioned with his hand for the dog to stand up once more. He was curious to see what the boy had been working on and ask him about this pack, and he could not do this if he was baring his belly.

“A-a-and… you were… not free… in thi-i-is… pack of yours?” he questioned. He supposed he could wait until after to ask about the carving, since he would be too curious wondering this if he did not ask it now.
