The wolf accepted his submission, taking on a dominant stance. Relieved Hadley kept himself low, waiting to be told it was alright. Signaled to stand he did so, doing his best to appear smaller than the wolf before him, despite his rather large size. Hands behind his back Hadley glanced down to his dropped knife, the partially carved bowl still in his hands. Hopefully he'd be able to finish that soon, so Grace would have another small gift from him as thanks instead of just the stool.
Tilting his head Hadley considered the question. It was hard for him to think about, wondering if he had been free or not. Was slave, worked for Sebastian. No pain, allowed to wander. Came...so I can be properly free. Not fear taking mate. Shy he ducked his head. The worry of Selene being hurt for choosing to fraternize with a slave had plagued him for so long. It wouldn't any longer, the worry taken away from him.
