Selene shifted over so that she was snuggled into Hadley's body. The large male wrapped his arms around her, pulling the female closer. Hadley loved being with Selene, feeling safe and like he mattered to someone out there in the world. Warmth wrapped around them both as he gently lowered his head down, eyes starting to close. A soft kiss planted on his nose opened his brown eyes again. A gentle confusion met Selene, a little curious but not disliking it.
Hadley pulled her closer in reaction. His hands stroked over her hair softly, trying to reassure that she wasn't in the way. Leaning down he licked her muzzle gently before pulling away, shy of his actions. He thought that Selene would like that, that she wouldn't push him away, but he wasn't entirely sure. All he could do was hope that he'd done the right thing. His eyes stared into the sparkling red ones, so full of life. It was his, at least for the time on the mountain they'd have.
