Hadley sighed as kisses brushed down his neck. She had no idea how much she was tormenting him. He wanted her, he wanted to protect her. They didn't seem capable of coinciding since she feared being taken by force. No matter how gentle he was Hadley was sure he'd end up forcing her somehow, something that he never wanted to do. The soft smile she gave him just reenforced that idea. She was so sweet, so innocent. And he, he was trash, scum. Worth of nothing but protecting her, doing what she wished, and even then not necessarily doing it well.
Smiling softly at the tug of his ear he reached over, pulling on her floppy one. Her request for a story relieved Hadley immensely. It was something he could do without hurting either of them. Running through his mind Hadley hummed softly as he thought. Once...there was a little girl who loved flowers more than anything. When winter came the flowers died, making her sad. A fairy from far away saw that, so he took her with him to a place where flowers bloomed forever. Eventually she fell in love with him, and every spring she helps him decorate the world with flowers from their garden.
