Awkwardly he reached up, touching her head softly. What an odd pair they made. He tugged gently on her ears, massaging them with his hands before letting his hands lower onto her shoulders, touching his forehead to hers.
Selene's words were startling. Not care? Deeply care for Selene. L- Hadley cut off before he finished what he was saying. Had he really been about to say that? No, he couldn't. She'd be frightened off and leave him, afraid that he would hurt her like the other males in her life had. A whisper brushed against his ear, leaving him shivering slightly. With anticipation or anxiety he couldn't tell. The words were so much what he wanted to hear. How to express his answer? Very simply. Hadley turned, eyes burning with love and desire. Strong arms grasped her as he leaned in, kissing her fully on the lips. Be my lover... They were shy and quiet, but said firmly, requesting her to comply.
