She fought back tears once more with her arms around Hadley, unsure what had happened between the two only moments before. He looked over at her and she looked up at the sound of her name. ”Yes Hadley?” She desperately wanted to know what had happened but at the same time she didn’t. She was close to crying again until he gently wrapped his arms around her. A soft smile appeared on her face as she ignored the horrors she did remember. She didn’t want to think about her father anymore. The teddy bear Hadley had given her earlier sat between the two as they held each other.
Isa didn’t want to move a the moment. She felt safe and protected in Hadley’s strong arms and just wanted to stay like that. Finally, her curiosity got the better of her. She had to know what happened. ”H..Hadley? What happened?” She was afraid of what the answer would be and her ears flattened against her head as she awaited an answer. She looked into his eyes before burying her face into the fur on his chest. She had to keep trying not to cry, knowing what more than likely happened. She wasn’t ready for it. She barely knew Hadley and now they more than likely had sex. The thought sent a shiver down her spine.
