Claudius was seething. Although he was normally quite complacent and mild-mannered, when it came to the issue of Matteo's betrayal -- whether or not to Inferni -- he knew he could not remain impassive. He had arrived late to the scene to see Matteo attacking Anatole and another wolf comforting his mate. It was wrong and Claudius was not above passing judgement on another. He saw it as wrong and Ulilohi's actions were right. Even if he had not betrayed AniWaya to Inferni, which Claudius doubted to be true, he would never trust the white wolf again. Even though he alternated between cowering and defending himself, Claudius did not want to believe any of the honesty the boy tried to project. Matteo had lied to him and Claudius had defended him when the leader of his old pack had come to him. The betrayal cut deep.

Ulilohi uttered her final say and gestured for Matteo to leave. Claudius waited, hoping to catch the wolf's eye to show him how deeply disappointed he was.

"You dishonour this tribe," Claudius said. His voice was quiet, but he felt like he was burning up inside. He was furious and he knew that if he stayed angry too long, he would likely end up hurting himself. After this entire ordeal was over, he would need to go for a hunt and fell something -- anything -- to resolve this tension.
