Pain Medication
#8
As she looked again at her vial, she mentally kicked herself. The usual dropper was not screwed on beneath the lid, and so more than the couple of recommended drops must have fallen into Terra's mouth. Being small and sparely built wouldn't help her resist the effects either. It would not kill her, at least. Not more than a millimetre had vanished from the level of the bottle, and it would take the whole thing to do that. But Caspa found herself eyeing her friend very warily, now, checking for signs of drifting into the strange dreamworld the drug could thrust its partakers into.

It turned out it was a cougar. Caspa lifted her brows, impressed. "That will make a good story if you are left scarred," she mused. Anything to try to lift Terra's spirits. Although, when the giggling came, it became obvious that her spirits had already been quite effectively lifted by the chemicals in the drug. Caspa mentally prepared herself to coach the young woman through her first experience with the lofty heights of intoxication.

Suspiciously she got up from her seat on the edge of the bed and backed off, noticing the greedy light in Terra's eyes as the lupus formed woman advanced upon her, seeming not to recognise her. "It is me, Caspa. Lie back down," she commanded. Any further and the coywolf would be putting weight on that leg, which in her pain-resisting state could be very damaging. Caspa didn't want to have to sit on her again, but she would do so if the situation demanded.
