She had started to think that the golden canine had settled down again now, although the random snatches of laughter weren't a good sign, so Caspa wasn't too surprised when her friend began to get up once more. The trouble with taking away the pain was that without it there as a warning, Terra might easily use the leg in a way that made it worse. Caspa couldn't allow that to happen, which was why she'd recommended such a low dose - at that level, a little pain would still be felt. Right now, though, she expected that Terra felt very little. Except for feeling extremely strange.
So as the coywolf raised herself up and then teetered towards the edge of the bed Caspa reacted in the best way she could imagine, shifting as fast as she could into her most massive and thick-limbed form, her paws simply immense compared to the rest of her. She then dived into the chaos of tumbling blankets and crouched over Terra again so that the coywolf could no longer writhe and wriggle. Caspa was several pounds heavier than her now, and so the idea came: roll Terra up in the blanket so she couldn't move. Caspa began to scrabble and paw at the coyote trickster with both front paws, attempting to turn her over and over and wrap the covers tightly around her body.
