Terra was eventually reduced to little more than a cocoon of material, with a dazed coywolf head protruding at one end. Caspa sat down and regarded her with her head tilted at a considering angle. At least this would hold her still, but Terra seemed almost as unhappy as she'd been while chewing her leg open. "Well, then," Caspa remonstrated sadly, "You must learn to stay still without the need for such restraint." But she did feel sorry for her injured companion. "You are going to feel better in a moment, once you have rested and recovered your senses," she told Terra with certainty, knowing that sometimes just being told something could make it come true. She grasped the roll of fabric lightly in her now-massive jaws, and strained her neck and shoulder muscles: it was really quite amazing how light the lithe Baroness proved to be, as Caspa managed to lift her, blankets and all, carefully back onto the bed, where she pushed the hot-dog like object with her nose until the poor creature came to a rest with her head at what looked like the most comfortable angle. Then Caspa jumped up onto the bed and flopped down beside Terra, her scarred jaw falling between her immense forepaws. She knew she would have to remain at Terra's side until the strange mind-altering effects had worn off: she would never forgive herself if anything bad happened. "How do you feel now?" she inquired in steady tones after a moment.
